Singer Portable Arrested By The Ogun State Police
The Ogun state police arrested Nigeria singer, Portable after he was given 72 hours ultimatum to make himself available. Recall we talked about when he lamented that his ex-signee sent police to arrest him, and now he has been arrested.
He was taken into custody today, March 31, 2023, after a 72-hour deadline to surrender to the police command had passed. Portable was given a 72-hour ultimatum by the state’s police to appear at the closest station or risk being detained by Friday, March 31. Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police PRO, sent the artist an invitation.
Odeyemi confirmed the detention and stated that the contentious singer is being detained at the Eleweran, Abeokuta, police station. Also, it was stated that Portable had rejected five invitations to talk before the police came to arrest him.
Punch reported that until Monday, when he would be charged in court, the musician would remain in police detention. Days prior, when police tried to arrest the musician at his Odogwu Bar, he fought and “manhandled” the officers.
